Took my phone here to get a charge port replaced. Came back after 2 hours to get the phone with the microphones not working and the phone rebooting itself every 2 minutes.
I researched for myself and found that the microphones are the same part as the charging port. Therefore, the problem is the part I paid £55 to have fitted.
I emailed regarding the new problem and was told that the phone would need a diagnostics for £15 but i might not have the phone back for over 2 weeks.
As you'd expect I took the phone back to the store, where i was advised the problem could be the microphone next to the camera (passing the blame).
Having researched the part I knew that I was being deliberately mislead, or the 'expert' had no idea what he was doing. I then said I just wanted my money back to get it sorted elsewhere. The gentleman then said he must keep £15 for "diagnostics". diagnostcis?? I told him what the problem was, he fitted a dodgy part and then tried to wrongly diagnose the problem he had created - perhaps to make more money.
Moving on, i was advised to come back over an hour later because he needed to take his dodgy part out and put in my old one. Next, I got my money back and headed to another shop where I was advised that I didn't even need a new port.
The final kick in the teeth is that my phone microphone no longer works properly on speaker phone.
so after everything detailed, I am left with a phone in worse condition then when i took it to get fixed. not happy to say the least.Thursday 16th December 2021
