BAT are experienced specialist Construction Consultants who are accredited by UKAS and members of ATTMA.  Based in Bristol we provide Air Leakage and Acoustic Testing and  Consultancy   services throughout England and South Wales.  BAT undertake air tightness, air leakage and air pressure testing and consultancy services relating to Building Regulations Part L and acoustic sound insulation/separation testing and consultancy services relating to Building Regulations Part E.  In addition, BAT also undertake Noise Surveys for Planning Purposes and Thermal Imaging Surveys for BREEAM compliance.

BAT offer cost effective construction consultancy advice on materials and detailing at early design stages to enable changes to be made to the design before costly mistakes or omissions are made on site. At the construction stage we offer consultancy site visits at appropriate milestones and work with the design team and building contractors to ensure that the building has the best chance of achieving the Air Leakage Testing criteria first time.

BAT employ experienced, qualified engineers specialising in construction and mechanical & electrical engineering and therefore are often engaged to undertake non-standard testing or provide bespoke trouble-shooting services for issues that arise on projects from time to time. These services include, but are not limited to, heat load testing of laboratories, identification of rain penetration through building envelopes and measurement of air flows through laboratory ceilings where pressure cascade systems are unable to be commissioned.

We pride ourselves that our experienced, flexible staff always endeavour to achieve a positive test result on the day of the test and will work with the customer to achieve this by undertaking any such investigation as is appropriate. Testing can be undertaken at a time to best suit our clients, including at weekends, evenings or even overnight if required. Our longstanding accreditation by UKAS and ATTMA membership means that experienced, conscientious and reliable test engineers attend your site and are trained to undertake L1 Domestic Air Pressure Testing, L2 Commercial Building Air Pressure Testing and Passivhaus Testing. They can also, if required, undertake Sound Insulation Testing for compliance with Building Regulations Part E or Noise Measurements for compliance with BREEAM on the same visit, which can minimise costs as discounts are applied.
